• 2 years ago i read just the intro to "Velvet Elvis" by Rob Bell and ever since have wanted to buy the book. bought it today. am on page 43. you should buy it too! here is a sample:

"The very nature of orthodox Christian faith is that we never come to the end. It begs for more. More discussion, more inquiry, more debate, more questions. It's not so much that the Christian faith has a lot of paradoxes. It's that it is a lot of paradoxes. And we cannot resolve a paradox. We have to let it be what it is. • don't eat at Dragon Court in uptown waterloo. i was lured in by the $4.95 lunch sign. can we say: reheated fried rice, almost burnt chicken balls, and what was that sauce on the vegetables? and when i went to pay i was informed their debit wasn't working so i had to walk to the bank and come back. and how, pray tell, does $4.95 come to $7.50 after tax?
• pet peeve of the day: 1 person who takes up 2 seats on the bus (and not because their girth requires it) when clearly other people have to stand because there is nowhere to sit.
• swheat scoop is the best kitty litter ever and thanks jenn for the advice on the arm and hammer for litter boxes!!
