went to see the bluejays the other night with the interact group. it was good times. we apparently have some very competitive boys in our little group. the competitions ranged from the score of the game, to what caused the delay in the game and the change of umpire, to what time the bus would arrive back. the exciting prizes included street meat after the game and a poem about the winner written by brad to be posted on facebook, and a shoutout during his sermon lol.
i had lunch with my very best friends yesterday. although i was tired and not feeling the best, it was an excellent reuinion. i don't see any of them nearly enough. they live too far away :(
i would like to address a few questions that i'm tired of being asked:
-nathan and i not going out. we are not planning to either. no matter how many times you ask, this is not going to change. we are friends.
it was almost funny at first when people first started asking, but now it's just annoying. get over it.
speaking of dating...
remember the blog about romance? well...i haven't changed my mind about wanting romance, but i think i've redefined what romance means to me. i want the next (and hopefully last) person i date to be different from the rest. and i want actual dates to be interesting, comfortable and fun. i don't want to go to a club where the music is too loud to talk. i don't want to go to a fancy restaurant either where we're both so worried about keeping up appearances that neither is acting like we normally would. i want to go to the zoo. or an amusement park. or swimming at a cool gorge. or hiking on cool trails. i think those things are way more romantic because they're spontaneous and fun and you can be yourself.
anyways. that's just some food for thought.
